Yucaipa Resident Catches Banning Thief Red-Handed, Chases Him Out of Home: Police
Sheriff's officials say the Yucaipa man caught the Banning resident inside his home, stealing his property.

BANNING, CA - A Banning man who allegedly robbed a Yucaipa home and assaulted the homeowner in the process was being held Wednesday in lieu of $500,000 bail.
Anthony Patchin, 27, was at large for nearly a week before San Bernardino County sheriff's deputies caught up with him near Bakersfield on Tuesday, said Detective Jason Costa of the Yucaipa station.
Patchin is accused of robbing a home in the 36000 block of Wildwood Canyon Road on Jan. 4. The resident, whose name was withheld, allegedly caught Patchin inside the residence, taking property.

"The victim chased the suspect outside the home to confront him and was assaulted during that confrontation," officials said in a news release. "Paramedics responded to the scene and treated the victim for minor injuries."
