Authorities ID Pedestrian Hit, Killed on Peninsula Highway
The local man was standing or walking near the center divider of Highway 92 when he was struck, California Highway Patrol reported.

SAN MATEO, CA: A man who was fatally struck by a vehicle last week on state Highway 92 in San Mateo has been identified by the San Mateo County coroner's office as 67-year-old Carlos Alberto Perez.
Perez, a San Mateo resident, was struck shortly after 10:05 p.m. Wednesday, April 12 on westbound Highway 92 near El Camino Real by a 2002 Lexus in the far left lane, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Perez was standing or walking near the center divider when he was hit. He was pronounced dead at the scene and CHP officials did not say why he was on the roadway.

The 66-year-old woman driving the Lexus stopped at the scene, was not injured and did not appear to be intoxicated, according to the CHP.
The collision remains under investigation and anyone with information is asked to contact Officer Pieter Peruch at 650-369-6261.
