Belmont City, Police, Fire Hosting Gift Card Drive For North Bay Fire Victims

"Our hearts go out to those affected by the recent wildfires in Northern California," city officials said.

BELMONT, CA —The City of Belmont has joined with the Belmont Firefighters Association and the Belmont Police Officers Association in a gift card donation drive for the victims of the North Bay fires.

Donated gift cards should be something that can be used in the impacted and can be dropped off at Belmont City Hall in the Public Works Department, Suite 385, Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00am to Noon, and 1:00pm to 5:00pm.

Donated cards will be given to the United Way in two regions impacted by the fires; United Way - Bay Area that supports Napa County, and the United Way -Wine Country that supports Sonoma, Mendocino and Lake Counties. People can select the region they would like to support when they drop off their gift card.

Our hearts go out to those affected by the recent wildfires in Northern California. People that have been impacted by the Northern California fires are still in need, and recovery can last months. First responders from the Belmont Fire Department, and Belmont Police Department have been actively involved in mutual-aid response to the fire area.
