Belmont to Honor Library's 5th Anniversary Friday

Belmont residents are invited to join the multitude of celebrations on Friday in honor of the fifth anniversary of the renovated .

Here's what you can do:

• Every hour: A digital history of the planning and building of the Belmont Library will be shown.
• 10 a.m. - noon: Tea, coffee and pastries will be served.
• 3 - 4:30 p.m.: Special birthday storytime and crafts for children.
• 3:30 - 5:30 p.m.: Special teen craft event.
• 6 - 8 p.m.: The library will stay open late and offer tours, refreshments, music from the Carlmont High School Jazz Band, and a summer reading forecaster who will demonstrate her recommendations on an iPhone and iPad.
