Belmont Updates Vision Statement, Passes Resolution Supporting Civil Rights

BELMONT, CA — The city of Belmont this week added an amendment to its vision statement, to specifically address its commitment to inclusion in the community.

City officials shared the following statement with Patch on the move:

At the Council meeting on Tuesday March 28th the Belmont City Council approved an amendment to the City of Belmont’s Vision Statement so that it now expressly includes a commitment to diversity and inclusion for all persons.

At the same meeting the City Council also adopted Resolution No. 2017-027, Affirming the City’s Commitment to Safeguard the Civil Rights, Safety, and Dignity of All Community Members.
