Crash Into Belmont Fire Hydrant Causes Geyser: VIDEO
Police say a vehicle slammed into the hydrant this week.
BELMONT, CA — A vehicle struck a fire hydrant in Belmont this week causing the brief closure of a street, according to police.
The incident occurred in the 1000 block of Ralston Avenue, Belmont police said on Twitter just before 4:45 p.m. Tuesday

Drivers were advised to use caution and expect delays as police, as well as utility crews, arrived at the scene and responded.

After stopping the water from flowing onto the street, police reopened Ralston Avenue.
