Drugs, Weapons Stash Found As Belmont Police Investigate Gas Siphoning: BPD
Breaking: Police say two men were caught with meth, heroin and cocaine — as well as several guns and knives.

BELMONT, CA — Two Salinas men were recently arrested in Belmont after they were allegedly caught in possession of several types of drugs and weapons, police say. The duo are accused of not only being in possession of methamphetamine, heroin, cocaine and marijuana – but also of siphoning gas from U-Haul trucks.
According to Belmont Police Capt. Patrick Halleran, a call regarding men stealing gas from trucks parked at the U-Haul sore in the 500 block of El Camino Real came in around 11:20 p.m. Friday. Police responded and detained Joachim Schneider, 54, and Sterling Willis, 35.
"Subsequent investigation lead to the discovery of narcotics including methamphetamine, heroin, cocaine & marijuana as well as multiple weapons including; four handguns (one of which was stolen), two improvised 'zip' guns, a Taser, pepper spray and multiple knives," Halleran said in a news release.

The duo were then arrested and taken to the Redwood City jail on multiple charges including Carrying a Loaded Firearm, Convicted Felon in Possession of a Loaded Firearm, Possession of Controlled Substance for Sale, Possession of Concealed Dirk or Dagger, according to Halleran.
