Our San Mateo Neighbors SMPD had quite a successful day yesterday on Wed at 39th ave and El Camino. The pedestrian crossing there is very active with those come from San Mateo General Hospital and crossing to get to the northbound bus stop.
Motorcycle officers had a field day with designated walkers TRYING to cross. I say trying because cars were IGNORING walkers who were one to six feet into the cross walk. I parked near Mancini's Sleepworld and watched. At one point all the motorcycle officers were busy pulling cars over with drivers who did not stop.
I'm hoping that Belmont continues doing that also as they have before. The one from IHM near the Carlmont Shopping Center is not going so well right now.
