BELMONT, CA — A robber who apparently has a penchant for Star Wars walked into a Belmont donut shop this week with a gun, and walked out with cash that didn't belong to him, the local police department reports. The man brandished the handgun to a female employee, demanding she hand over an undisclosed amount of cash, according to Belmont Police Capt. Patrick Halleran.
It happened around 4:40 a.m. Monday at Chuck's Donuts in the 640 block of Ralson Avenue, Halleran said.
"The cashier handed over an undetermined amount of cash and the suspect fled on foot from the business, eastbound on Ralston Avenue," he said in a news release. "No suspect vehicle was seen or heard and the cashier was not harmed."
