BrickQuilt: Second Saturday Artwalk in the East Village

The Brick Quilt (An American Flag in LEGO Bricks) is a progressive, collaborative project and is traveling around Long Beach until the 4th of July. On that day, it will be at the Parks and Recreation fireworks event at Veteran's Stadium.

A little background on the flag project:

Today, another step was taken as we build our 4' 4" x 8' 4" LEGO brick flag.  We attended the second Saturday artwalk in the East Village.

We've got 22 stars in our union, and arranging and rearranging the bricks we use. There are two more public dates for the flag project.  Yes, I think we will make it...

We may be adding a stop on the American Quilts in LEGO Bricks, as we take the bricks to a veteran's organization... Very soon, I hope.

Upcoming exhibits:
The Long Beach LEGO User Group
The Long Beach LEGO User Group is supported by Adult Fans of LEGO (AFOLs) in the Long Beach and surrounding communities, including several community leaders of local organizations.  The Long Beach BSA, the Long Beach Public Library, the Cultural Alliance of Long Beach and Shared Science are all represented in the group.  And now... our new friend Valerie from the veterans' organization.

Check out yesterday's event video.
