Lone Vehicle Found Submerged In Los Alamitos Bay

LONG BEACH, CA – A vehicle that had been submerged in Alamitos Bay was found about 4:50 p.m. Thursday as the tide receded, in the area of Bayshore Drive and 54th Street, said Jake Heflin of the Long Beach Fire Department. Two teams of divers conducted searches but found no one in or near the vehicle, Heflin said.

Authorities surmised the vehicle ended up in the water some time overnight and police were investigating how it got there, he said.
