A long drive home for one in our party, a chat with a neighbor, a decision to walk to Second Street and a stop at Belmont Music Studio all contributed to our 8:50 attempts to purchase tickets for the Stroll and Savor. Sad face. Too late.
So we recovered (in a pretty decent way). I always believe that if something happens to me, it can and will happen to someone else who can benefit from my sharing of my experiences. So here goes.
What to do if you're too late for Stroll and Savor.
It's easy. We went to BJ's Pizza. I wouldn't really think a big deal of telling you this, but at BJ's Pizza there is a "Happy Hour" that starts at 9 pm and runs to 11 pm. We didn't know this, we just happened upon it, which made it more fun.
Between 9 pm and 11 pm you can purchase appetizers and mini-pizzas for 1/2 price, and of course a special price on BJ's brews. There are lots of savories on the appetizer menu - not too many veggies - but you can order a side salad with the mini-pizza.
And then, you can stroll back home.
