RAPTOR RAMBLE

Raptor Ramble

Take advantage of a free opportunity to see publicly-owned wetlands. The nature hike of the Hellman Ranch Lowlands takes place on Saturday, November 1st starting at 8 a.m. This nature hike offers something for everyone. Participants may see birds of prey. Wetlands ecologists will discuss the history of the area and plans for its future. They will share how the Tongva Native Americans made use of resources provided by the wetlands. Participants will explore a lovely path with native plants and educational placards. This two-hour hike offers a fun and educational experience.

The entrance to the wetlands is on the inland side of the intersection of Pacific Coast Highway and 1st Street, just at the border of Long Beach and Seal Beach. There is ample parking. For more information or to RSVP for the November 1st nature walk, contact Elizabeth at elizabeth@lcwlandtrust.org.  Learn more about the wetlands at www.lcwlandtrust.org.
