
VALLEJO, CA -- Firefighters were at the scene of a two-alarm house fire this evening in Vallejo, according to the Vallejo Fire Department.
Around 3:30 p.m., fire officials received multiple calls regarding a fire at a home in the 800 block of Brookwood Avenue, fire spokesman Kevin Brown said.
Upon arrival, firefighters pinpointed the fire to the home's garage and determined it had extended into the home's attic and living room, according to Brown.

Firefighters were able to contain the fire. One resident who was inside the house at the time suffered smoke inhalation and was treated at the scene. No other injuries were reported, Brown said.
The house sustained considerable damage and the resident has been displaced. It was not immediately clear if any other residents lived at the home.

Although the cause for the fire remains under investigation, the fire does not appear to be suspicious, according to Brown.
