2021 Benicia Tree Lighting, Christmas Parade To Brighten Downtown

Prior to these popular holiday events, the Downtown Holiday Shopping Spree continues until the end of November.

BENICIA, CA — Benicia Main Street brings a number of festive holiday events and promotions to Downtown Benicia.

The calendar of events is as follows:

Month Of November, Downtown Holiday Shopping Spree

This extended shopping event offers shoppers a chance to enter a drawing for a downtown shopping spree valued at $500 in Downtown Dollars. For every $10 shoppers spend at participating stores, they will receive one ticket for the drawing. In honor of Small Business Saturday on Nov. 27, shoppers will receive a double entry.

Friday, Dec. 3, Holiday Open House & Tree Lighting

A cherished holiday tradition enjoyed by thousands of residents and visitors. The holiday season kicks off at 6 p.m. with the Holiday Open House. Merchants keep their doors open until 9 p.m. serving seasonal refreshments. At approximately 6:30 p.m. at the foot of First Street, the public can view the lighting of the Christmas tree and enjoy Kris Kringle & The Mistletones. Wine and beer station at Benicia Main Street, 90 First Street.

Saturday, Dec. 11, Christmas Parade & Holiday Market

In its 27th year, the Christmas Parade and Holiday Market take over First Street with holiday cheer at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 11. The parade starts at First and D streets and continues up First Street, ending at H Street. The parade features local marching bands, dancers, and Santa Claus.

The Holiday Market features handcrafted and gourmet gift items. The Holiday Market is open from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 11, on First Street between B and D streets.
