Bill’s Kids Foundation Donates New Play Structure for Irene Larsen Center Students

VACAVILLE - Students at the Irene Larsen Center in Vacaville are now climbing, sliding, and having fun on a brand new play structure, thanks in part, to a generous donation from the Bill’s Kids Foundation of Vacaville. The play structure was installed recently and members of Bill’s Kids Foundation gathered on September 29 to present a check for $15,000 to Penee Hughes, Larsen’s principal. The Irene Larsen Center, operated by the Solano County Office of Education, serves infant and preschool special education students and includes a full inclusion Child Start Program.

“Since the early 1960s, Bill’s Kids Foundation has been a major contributor toward upgrading our playground equipment at the Larsen campus,” said Hughes. The Solano County Office of Education’s Safety Committee provided additional funds for the new play structure.
