Benicia Boy Scouts To Recycle Christmas Trees In 2021 Fundraiser
Benicia residents can have their Christmas trees picked up and recycled for a donation.
BENICIA, CA — One of the worst parts about the end of the holiday season is often trying to figure out where to dispose of your Christmas tree.
Fortunately, for Benicia residents can look to the local Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts and Venture Crew for assistance.
As part of an annual fundraiser, anyone can drop a tree off and Benicia residents can register to have their tree picked up to be recycled. Trees are chipped and used for ground cover on city properties.

Anyone can bring a tree to the Benicia Community Park behind Mathew Turner School or First Baptist Church on Southampton Road. Drop off times are Sunday, Dec. 26; Jan. 1 and 2; and Jan. 8 and 9, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
To register for a tree pick up, residents can sign up at BeniciaScouts.org. The recycle hotline is 707-551-4520. Residents are asked to have their tree outside by 9 a.m.

Flocked trees are accepted, and a recommended donation of $11 is encouraged for drop offs and pick ups. Donations can be attached to the tree or mailed to Christmas Tree Recycling P.O. Box 485, Benicia CA 94510.
