Health & Fitness

EnJOY Exercise, reap the rewards in 1/4 of the time.

Try this on a treadmill, or wherever you can walk safely without having so much to think about (safety first). Once you get this down, you can use it anywhere, in all forms of exercises.

Start the treadmill and walk with your mouth closed, breathing in and out through the nose, this should be natural and not forced in anyway. When you start to warm up, you can speed up the treadmill, but not past the point of being able to breath in and out through the nose. Once you have to open your mouth, you are going to decrease the intensity until you can again breathe in and out through the nose with your mouth closed.

If you do this correctly: you’ll get better results from working out in less time and you have effectively trained yourself to NOT turn on the stress receptors while exercising and for this you will be glad. When we exercise, if we are breathing shallow we are not getting oxygen to the muscles that really need it at the time, remember, its called aerobic exercise. If we are breathing, gasping and working hard enough to have to breathe through the mouth, your body doesn’t know the difference from being chased by bandits and exercising. In breathing in the emergency way, you are turning on the stress receptors and you are now producing cortisol, this hormone gets pumping whenever there is stress in your body, it’s making enough of it to get you out of an emergency. The trouble is, when it gets flowing like this, your body gains weight in the belly and your automatic functions start to slow down. Use this technique and you be able to increase your fitness level significantly, and you can actually train in 12-20 minute segments and get great results Less time working out also means you are putting less wear and tear on your joints. I don’t know about you but as smooth operating machine I want less pain and not more!
