I-780 Overnight Closures Slated This Week In Vallejo: Caltrans
BREAKING: Here's the detour information you need to know.

SOLANO COUNTY, CA -- UPDATE, Aug. 30: Second Night Of I-780 Closure Canceled
ORIGINAL POST, Aug. 29: SOLANO COUNTY, CA -- Full closures of Interstate 780 at Laurel Street in Vallejo are slated to occur overnight Tuesday, Aug. 29 and Wednesday, Aug. 30, affecting travel between Vallejo and Benicia, the California Department of Transportation advised. Westbound lanes will be closed beginning at 10 p.m. both nights until 5 a.m. the following mornings; the closure of eastbound lanes will begin at 11 p.m. both nights and end at 5 a.m. the next mornings.
The closures are to accommodate the Laurel Street Bridge Project. The old Laurel Street Bridge was demolished in June 2017 and is currently being rebuilt above westbound and eastbound I-780 in Vallejo -- with completion as early as this winter. This week, crews are installing columns to support the new bridge deck and bring the new Laurel Street Bridge up to the latest seismic safety standards, according to Vince Jacala of Caltrans District 4.
