Man's Jump From Fairfield Overpass An Apparent Suicide
The 29 year old was declared dead at the scene, police said.

The man killed after jumping Tuesday from the North Texas Street overpass was a 29 year old from Novato, police said.
The Fairfield Police Department received numerous 911 calls at 8:18 a.m. regarding a male who had just jumped from the overpass onto Air Base Parkway.
The man, identified as Erik Gallanty, was located by police in the number one lane of westbound Air Base and was declared dead at the scene.

Investigators conducted a review of the traffic cameras in the area and determined Gallanty was “unassisted” in the incident, police said.
Westbound Air Base Parkway was briefly closed during the investigation.
