Motorcyclist Dies When Truck Turns Into Path: CHP

The accident was Sunday in unincorporated Solano County.

A motorcyclist is dead after colliding with a Nissan truck Sunday afternoon in unincorporated Solano County, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Craig Bock was driving a 2010 Harley-Davidson Sportster motorcycle north on Suisun Valley Road at about 2:45 p.m., CHP officials said.

The driver of the truck, 66-year-old David Beyer, was driving south on Suisun Valley Road when he started a left turn onto Mankas Corner Road in front of the motorcyclist, according to the CHP.

CHP officials said Bock struck the right side of the truck and died at the collision site.

Beyer suffered moderate injuries and was taken to North Bay Hospital in Fairfield, according to the CHP. A passenger in the truck was not injured.

CHP officials said they do not suspect that drugs or alcohol were involved in collision.
