How did you end up here? My husband's job... he was working in San Francisco and we liked the community in Benicia. It's a better commute.

What do you do? I'm an optician in Walnut Creek. I was a stay-at-home mom for 20 years.

How many kids do you have? We have eight kids.
How old are they? The oldest is 28 and the youngest is 15. We have seven boys and one girl and we're expecting our first grandchild.

What do you do for fun? I'm into fitness. I do mini-triathlons, half marathons, play tennis and I love Ultimate Frisbee.
What is one thing that people don't know about you? That I can talk like Donald Duck.
What do you love about Benicia? The small-town, community feeling. Everybody knows everybody. It's safe and has great people.
Favorite spot in town? We love . We just came back from , that's a special favorite spot too. I like the waterfront down by the boats and the Garden of Hope at St. Dominic's.
