OAKLAND, CA – The Alameda County Sheriff's office said Monday it will cost $200,000 to repair damages to the Alameda Courthouse following demonstrations Saturday night in the city.

The Sheriff's Office shared photos of the damage on Twitter Sunday, capturing graffiti along the walls of the courthouse and smashed glass doors at emergency exits in the building.

In the tweet, the office said the courthouse was not severely damaged.

Oakland Police on Twitter early Sunday morning wrote that "agitators within the crowd of demonstrators have set the Alameda County Superior Courthouse on fire."

In another tweet with photos showing damage to the courthouse, the police department said people within the demonstration has begun shooting fireworks and pointing laser pointers at officers and helicopters.
