Berkeley-Backed Solar Discount Available For 3 Months

BERKELEY, CA — Berkeley is participating in the 2019 Bay Area SunShares program, which offers a 15 percent discount to install solar on your home. Registration is open now and runs through Nov. 15, 2019.

SunShares also offers zero-emission vehicle discounts on the 2019 all electric Nissan Leaf and the 2019 hydrogen fuel-cell Toyota Mirai.

The City of Berkeley is one of nearly 40 local government agencies and major employers participating in this year's program.

According to a City of Berkeley report earlier this year, more than 50 homes have taken advantage of the discounts over the last 3 years.
