Event Details

Book Society, 2945 College Ave, Berkeley, CA, 94705

About the event

Join us for Crime & Bubbles — an hour with the store to ourselves before Book Society opens for the day, with mimosas for sale and two authors who know their way around a twisty plot.

We're welcoming Andrea Bartz, New York Times bestselling author of The Last Ferry Out and We Were Never Here, and N. Jooyoun Kim, author of What We Kept to Ourselves and The Last Story of Mina Lee, for a casual morning chat about crime fiction, the publishing world, and everything in between. Both have had novels selected as Reese's Book Club picks.

The schedule

  • 11:00am — Doors open, mimosas pour
  • 11:30am — A short, informal chat with both authors
  • 12:00pm — Chat wraps, store officially opens; stay and hang out as we get the day started

More details

  • Mimosas — $12 a glass
  • RSVP — Not required, but it helps us plan
  • Books — Copies of both authors' books available for purchase and signing

Come ready for a casual morning — Book Society style.
