Do You Know the Story Behind This Sign?

"Eternal" has been painted on the side of a dilapidated house at the corner of Cedar and Fourth streets in Berkeley's Ocean View neighborhood for decades, and it never seems to fade away. In fact, it looked fresher last week, when this photo was taken, than it often has in years past.
