Dozens Of Vehicles Burglarized In Berkeley

All of the burglaries happened over the weekend, according to police.

BERKELEY, CA — Berkeley Police have their hands full with vehicle burglary cases - more than 35 have been reported to police already.

All of the burglaries happened over Saturday and Sunday nights in North Berkeley.

Police investigators are asking residents and businesses to check their security video surveillance recordings "to see if they may have any information that can assist us," according to a BPD release.

Windows were broken in some of the vehicles, while others were left unlocked. "The Berkeley Police Department encourages people to remember to secure their vehicles and not leave any valuable items visible inside," the release from BPD continues. "If possible, consider parking your vehicle inside your garage or in a well-lit area."
