BERKELEY, CA — Monday morning a BUSD administrator received an anonymous threat via email. Some neighboring school districts also received the same or similar messages. We immediately contacted the Berkeley Police Department (BPD), and they confirmed there is no credible threat to BUSD associated with this message. Out of an abundance of caution, BPD had a presence around the district. We are grateful for their support and appreciate our partnership.
The safety of our staff and students is our top priority. Thank you for your partnership in keeping our students, staff, and community safe.
