Country Joe McDonald made his mark on popular culture at Woodstock in 1969. He
became a musical fixture of the anti-Vietnam War demonstrations with his
heartfelt songs inspired by his own military service. Using the same format he
later used with his tributes to Woody Guthrie and to Florence Nightingale,
Country Joe McDonald will sing songs and tell stories—except this time they
will be about his own life. As Joe noted, tongue-in-cheek, “no one will ever do
a tribute to me ... at least while I am alive. And so I am proud to introduce
my own tribute to myself.”This is the debut performance—see it before he takes
it on the road! www.countryjoe.com
