Actors Ensemble launches a new series featuring heretofore unproduced works with the goofy comedy MADAM GUFAYS LOVELUTIONARIES, written by new playwright Norah Foster. Mdme. Gufay's hilarious antics on behalf of free speech in the academic machine of UC Berkeley befuddles the higher-ups and her innocent eroticism wins over their hearts.
Madame Gufay is written in the style of the director Jacques Tati with Gufay based loosely after the character Mr. Hulot. Co-directed by Alan Barkan (Barefoot in the Park) and Jerome Solberg (Exit the King). It's a brand-new never-before-staged work - so anything can happen - find out with us together on Sunday, August 12th at 7 p.m.
$5-$10 sliding scale - cash or check only at the door - Box Office/Lobby opens 1/2 hour before the start of the show. Wheelchair accessible - use the north side lobby entrance
