Looking to Get Hitched on Valentine's Day? Alameda County Clerk-Recorder's Office Can Help
The office will be open on Feb. 14 to perform ceremonies

The Alameda County Clerk-Recorder’s Office will be open on Valentine’s Day next week to perform wedding ceremonies and other public services, according to county officials.
This year Feb. 14 falls on a Saturday, which is outside of the office’s usual business hours, but Alameda County Auditor-Controller/Clerk-Recorder Steve Manning said in a statement that the holiday is always busy on Valentine’s Day because of a large number of couples wanting to get married. Public marriage licenses cost $81 and confidential marriage licenses are available for $90. There is an additional $17 fee for a certified copy of the completed marriage certificate.
The Clerk-Recorder’s Office also has a wedding room on the second floor available on a first-come, first served basis for $75. Reservations are strongly encouraged, county officials said. The Alameda County Clerk-Recorder’s Office is located at 1106 Madison St. in Oakland.
