Pedestrian Severely Injured In Berkeley

The collision happened Tuesday evening on Hearst Avenue.

BERKELEY, CA — A pedestrian was taken to a trauma center with severe injuries following a collision with a vehicle Tuesday evening in Berkeley, police said.

The collision was reported at 5:46 p.m. on Hearst Avenue between Le Conte and Euclid avenues, police spokesman Officer Byron White said.

The 2300 and 2400 blocks of Hearst Avenue were closed for an extended period as police completed their investigation.
