BERKELEY, CA — PG&E crews have restored power to nearly all of the more than 5,800 customers affected by an outage in Berkeley this morning, a utility spokesman said.
The outage was initially reported at 6:58 a.m. and while there were multiple reports of a loud noise when the outage started, its cause hasn't been determined, PG&E spokesman J.D. Guidi said.
Initially, 5,861 customers lost power, but that number dropped to 5,073 as of 8 a.m. and then all the way down to 27 customers as of 8:30 a.m., Guidi said.
