Serving Children with Special Needs & Their Families
At this free workshop we'll talk about ways to support all children in child care with a focus on serving those with special needs.
Caring for children who have special needs takes patience, understanding, and love. Every child deserves to be cared for in a way that best supports who they are. This can be hard for providers who are caring for a lot of children at once.
In this UC Davis Extension workshop, we’ll talk about how to:
- Create an accepting environment
- Help families deal with stress
- Connect parents with any services they may need
- Recognize early warning signs of developmental risks
