UC Berkeley Police Investigate Strong-Arm Robbery in Albany
Police said three suspects approached a teen boy and stole his backpack.

The University of California Berkeley police are investigating a Thursday strong-armed robbery that occurred along Codornices Creek at the University Village of Albany. Police said three suspects approached a 17-year-old, who is not affiliated with the university, around 9:30 p.m. and stole his backpack.
The suspects then drove away from the area south on Fifth Street in a blue vehicle toward Berkeley, police said. Police said the vehicle was similar to a Ford Focus. Medics from the Albany Fire Department treated the victim for minor injuries at the site of the robbery, police said.
Police described the suspects as three black men in their 20s, wearing dark clothing. One man’s hair was in dreadlocks, according to police.
