Patch has had a wide array of unique animal stories from around the state this week. Some of the photos are incredible.

Animals from all over California made headlines this week. Whether it was wayward lions (we had both kinds: mountain and sea), a wandering bear, rescued sea gull or the sad death of a horse that fell during a trail hike, Patch brought readers their stories. In fact, the only thing missing this week are tigers ... oh my!

Unbearlievable! Bear Spotted Wandering
- The four-legged ursine mammal was spotted about 8:30 a.m., at East Elm Grove, according to Glendora police.
- The female pinniped came in emaciated, lethargic and with a large amount of oil over her body, face and flippers.
Update: Horse Rescue Ends Sadly
- The horse fell 30 feet down an embankment, initially landing in a tree.
