Victim Hit In Face With Stick At UC Berkeley: Police

BERKELEY — Police at the University of California, Berkeley are investigating a report of someone assaulted with a stick inside the campus over the weekend.

According to UC Berkeley police, two people were arguing on Saturday at the campus' Lower Sproul Plaza. Investigators learned that one of the two picked up a stick and struck the other one's face with it.

The victim initially refused to give officers any information but on Sunday, the assaulted person came forward and provided information about the crime. The victim refused medical services and even declined to file a complaint against the suspect, police said.
