Watch The 'Ring Of Fire' Solar Eclipse At UC Berkeley

The Lawrence Hall of Science will offer safe viewing options along with hands-on activities and expert information from scientists.

BERKELEY, CA — A ring-of-fire solar eclipse passes over California on Saturday, a rare occurrence that will not happen again in the mainland United States until 2046. The UC Berkeley Lawrence Hall of Science is throwing a viewing party. You are invited.

The party will feature hands-on solar science activities and different ways to watch the eclipse safely. Plus, visitors young and old can learn about the Sun, eclipses, and more from UC Berkeley’s Space Sciences Laboratory scientists.

Solar eclipse viewing glasses will be available for purchase from The Lawrence Discovery Store. Lawrence members get free eclipse viewing glasses, while supplies last.
