Woman Robbed In Berkeley

It happened Monday night near the intersection of Le Roy and Le Conte avenues.

BERKELEY, CA — A woman was robbed in Berkeley Monday night, University Police reported Tuesday. No arrests have been made.

Shortly after 10 p.m. the student was walking near the intersection of Le Roy and Le Conte avenues when a car stopped in the middle of the intersection next to her. According to UPD, "Two male suspects got out of the car and approached her. When one of the suspects tried to grab onto the woman, the woman dropped her backpack and ran away. Both suspects got back into the car and fled the scene northbound."

Berkeley Police officers rushed to the scene. They searched the area but did not find the suspects or their vehicle. No descriptions have been released to the public.
