• Husband and Wife Die in Murder-Suicide After She Was Scammed by Tom Selleck Impersonator (eonline.com) — A Bermuda Dunes couple in their late 70s and 80s were found dead in an apparent murder-suicide after the wife was reportedly scammed out of tens of thousands of dollars by someone posing as actor Tom Selleck. Authorities say she was a victim of financial elder abuse but have not linked the scammer directly to the deaths, and a close friend is sharing their story to warn other local seniors about similar schemes.
