10 Displaced After Beverly Crest Debris Flow Damages Homes

Ten people were displaced from five homes impacted by the debris flow Monday morning.

LOS ANGELES, CA — A debris flow caused "significant damage" to five homes in Beverly Crest Monday morning, displacing 10 people, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

No was one trapped or injured in the incident, firefighters said.

The debris flow occurred around 1919 N. Beverly Drive, just west of Franklin Canyon Park, Monday at around 8:30 a.m. Firefighters assisted residents with evacuation.

City building officials will assess the damage and red-tag any structures that were seriously compromised, firefighters said.
