• Reckless Driver Arrested By BHPD (canyon-news.com) — Beverly Hills police used city CCTV and their Real Time Watch Center to track down a driver accused of dangerously speeding through town in July, leading to an arrest warrant and 30-day vehicle impound. Officers say the case shows they will aggressively pursue reckless drivers to protect residents and property throughout Beverly Hills.
   

• Applications Now Open: Beverly Hills Planning Commission (canyon-news.com) — Beverly Hills is taking applications for one current and one upcoming seat on its Planning Commission, with terms beginning in January and July 2027. Residents have until Friday, October 23 at 5 p.m. to apply, and the city encourages attending meetings beforehand to understand current planning issues and the commission's role in shaping local development.
   

• Crypto Entrepreneur Sentenced to Prison for Fraud, Tax Crimes (mynewsla.com) — A 26-year-old crypto entrepreneur who once lived in Beverly Hills has been sentenced in Los Angeles to more than six years in federal prison for conspiracy, wire fraud, and tax evasion tied to a scheme using off-duty deputies as enforcers. Prosecutors say he and a former sheriff's detective abused law enforcement powers for extortion, intimidation, and illegal searches.
