Beverly Hills Hotel May Be Crucial Evidence In Suit Against Trump

Former "Apprentice" contestant Summer Zervos is suing the president, alleging physical harassment and defamation.

BEVERLY HILLS, CA – A former "Apprentice" contestant who alleges Donald Trump sexually assaulted her, has turned the iconic Beverly Hills Hotel into a crucial piece of evidence in her lawsuit against the president. The case between the one-time apprentice Summer Zervos and the president is significant because she is the only woman of more than a dozen who have accused Trump of unwanted physical contact to proceed with a lawsuit against him.

In her lawsuit, Zervos alleges the president defamed her when he called her and the other women "liars." Now her lawyers believe hotel records will help corroborate her story and prove that the president is the one lying.

The lawsuit is seeking records regarding the president's visits at the ritzy and exclusive hotel that is known for being discrete when handling billionaires, Los Angeles Times reported. The details of the president's hotel stays have been a secret kept among employees, but now the records could become critical evidence in the lawsuit.

Lawyers of Summer Zervos have subpoenaed the Beverly Hills Hotel for records of Trump's stays during five years when he frequently visited the West Coast, the newspaper reported. Last week, a judge said the lawsuit could proceed amidst numerous attempts by Trump's attorneys to stop it, the Washington Post reported.

Trump stayed in the exclusive bungalows of the Beverly Hills Hotel regularly during his reality television career – opting out of staying in the two mansions he owned in the LA area to order room service, talk with hotel staff, and host visitors in the bungalows instead, according to the newspaper.

Although the Zervos lawsuit has been overshadowed by the media coverage given to complaints made by Stormy Daniels, this lawsuit has the potential to make a big impact, Los Angeles Times reported.

In a 2016 press conference, Zervos gave a tearful account of her alleged meeting with Trump. Zervos told a roomful of reporters she met with Trump in hopes the billionaire would offer her work with his company. According to Zervos, Trump contacted her in Los Angeles and asked her to meet him at the Beverly Hills Hotel.

"I stood up, and he came to me and started kissing me open-mouthed as he was pulling me towards him. I walked away and I sat down on a chair. He was on a love seat across from me, and I made an attempt at conversation," she said.

"He then asked me to sit next to him. I complied. He then grabbed my shoulder and began kissing me again very aggressively, and placed his hand on my breast. I pulled back and went to another part of the room. He then walked up, grabbed my hand and walked me into the bedroom," she said.

"I walked out. He then turned me around and said, 'Let's lay down and watch some telly telly.' He put me in an embrace, and I tried to push him away. I pushed his chest to put space between us, and I said, 'Come on man, get real.' He repeated my words back to me, 'Get real,' as he began thrusting his genitals. He tried to kiss me again with my hand still on his chest, and I said, 'Dude, you're tripping right now,' attempting to make it clear that I was not interested," she said.

Angry at the rejection, Trump "started saying that he did not think that I had ever known love or had been in love," Zervos added.
