Beverly Hills Names New Assistant City Manager
Nancy Hunt-Coffey currently serves as Director of Community Services for the City of Beverly Hills.

BEVERLY HILLS, CA – Nancy Hunt-Coffey was selected as the City's next Assistant City Manager, incoming Beverly Hills City Manager George Chavez announced Wednesday. Hunt-Coffey, who currently serves as Director of Community Services, will join Chavez in the City Manager’s office when he assumes the position in June, the press release said.
"Nancy is deeply committed to public service and to Beverly Hills," Chavez said in a statement. "She has led the complex Community Services Department with poise and passion and I look forward to our partnership in the years ahead."
As Assistant City Manager, Hunt-Coffey will assist in the daily management of City operations, provide oversight of select departments and work closely with the City Council, the City of Beverly Hills said.

Hunt-Coffey has spent the last 32 years in local government, serving in a variety of roles at the City of Glendale before being named Director of Libraries there in 2004. She joined the City of Beverly Hills in 2008 as Assistant Director of Community Services and was named Director in 2016.

Hunt-Coffey earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in English and Spanish Literature from Occidental College and her Master's Degree in Information Studies from UCLA.
The City will name an Interim Director of Community Services in the coming weeks with the formal recruitment for a new Director beginning this spring, the press release said. The position oversees the City’s Recreation, Library, Human Services and Administrative Support divisions.
