Beverly Hills, Speak Your Mind To The New Police Chief

Following multiple high profile crimes and a slew of new hires, the new police chief will sit down with the community Sunday.

BEVERLY HILLS, CA — Sunday is your chance to come face-to-face with your new Beverly Hills police chief.

Amid a string of flashy crimes, Beverly Hills chief of police Mark Stainbrook will meet with community members Sunday.

There will be two opportunities to engage with Stainbrook: in-person from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Beverly Hills Civic Center, 464 North Rexford Drive, or virtually from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. on the Beverly Hills website.

Beverly Hills has seen a couple high profile crimes in the past month, including attempted smash-and-grab robberies and the fatal shooting of Jacqueline Avant.

The town hall was not planned to address these crimes, said Keith Sterling, chief communications officer for the city. It has been in the works for a long time to introduce Stainbrook to his new city.

Stainbrook was sworn in as police chief on Nov. 30, just over a month after he was announced as chief.
