Beverly Hills Steakhouse to Host 56th Beef Bowl
Collegiate athletes participating in the Rose Bowl will once again make an appearance at Lawry's The Prime Rib.

in Beverly Hills is hosting its 56th “Beef Bowl” this week, during which the two college football teams competing in the annual Rose Bowl game dine at the La Cienega restaurant.
The event “is not about what team eats the most,” but “about the players having a great time, enjoying a great meal in great surroundings,” Lawry's Restaurants Inc. President and CEO Richard R. Frank said.
Lawry's does not encourage an eating competition at the Beef Bowl and coaches are informed that there is a limit of two servings of prime rib per player. Nevertheless, the myth of an eating contest between teams remains.
