Beverly Hills Traffic Headache: Santa Monica Blvd. Lane Closures Announced

The lanes are being closed so crews can make roadway improvements, according to the Beverly Hills Office of Emergency Management.

BEVERLY HILLS, CA — For the next three weeks — starting Saturday — traffic on a section of North Santa Monica Boulevard in Beverly Hills will be limited to two westbound lanes, and eastbound traffic will be detoured onto South Santa Monica Boulevard.

The lanes are being closed so crews can make roadway improvements, according to the Beverly Hills Office of Emergency Management.

Commuters will find only two lanes of one-way westbound traffic between Rodeo Drive and Wilshire Boulevard, according to the city. Also, there will be a re-routing of eastbound traffic to South Santa Monica Boulevard.

After the three-week period, there will be two westbound lanes open and one eastbound lane open on North Santa Monica Boulevard for four additional weeks, according to city officials.
