BHHS Boys Soccer Reaches Tournament Final
The Normans outscore their six opponents 26-7 at the 6-on-6 competition in Monrovia.

The Beverly Hills High boys varsity soccer team lost in the finals of the Monrovia Summer 6-on-6 Tournament on Saturday. The Normans finished 4-0 in pool play, outscoring their four opponents 22-3.
Beverly Hills beat Rancho Cucamonga 4-1, West Ranch 6-0, Cathedral 5-2 and Verbum Dei 7-0.
In the semifinals, BHHS defeated host Monrovia 4-1 to move into the championship game against Huntington Park. Beverly Hills was unable to finish its opportunities and lost 3-0.

Junior midfielder Elijah Lichtenberg was the Normans' high-scorer in the tournament with eight goals, followed by junior midfielder Josh Horowitz (five goals) and junior midfielder/defender Caio Carvalho (three goals).
It was an optimistic start for a young Beverly Hills squad that graduated 13 seniors last season.

BHHS is scheduled to host both South East on July 6 and Fairfax on July 13 in 11-player scrimmages. Then the Normans will travel to Arroyo Grande on July 22 for a weekend 11-man tournament.
Beverly Hills finished 12-12-1 last season and was fourth in the Ocean League under head coach Steve Rappoport.
