Elena Rust and Jessica Karpiak led their Westside Breakers club to the state final.

After a memorable season on the Beverly Hills High girls soccer team, Elena Rust and Jessica Karpiak have continued their success at the club level.
The Norman duo led their Westside Breakers 95 Blue club team to the Cal South President's Division State Cup Championship game May 1 in San Bernardino.
Coached by Joe Pehanich, the Breakers were a fifth-place wildcard and barely advanced out of pool play, but turned it on in the elimination phase. First, they edged El Segundo 2-1 in the first round, which featured 32 teams. Then, in a heart-stopping finish, they defeated Yucaipa Athletic Club in the second round in a shootout after the teams had tied 1-1 through regulation and overtime.
