THE BRITISH ARE COMING!

Well, they came—and parked—on Rodeo Drive. British marques running the gamut from AC to Vincent were on hand, with Aston Martin being the featured brand.

O'Gara Coach of Beverly Hills was in the 200 block, showing new Aston Martins, Bentleys and Rolls-Royce models, as well as classic Minis, an Austin London Taxi, a London Double-Decker bus and a very rare Aston Martin DB7 Vantage Zagato alongside a full-size clay styling buck (the clay models stylists show to management for approval before a car is manufactured).

The 300 block was filled with beautiful classic models of Rolls-Royce, Bentley and Jaguar, as well as marques that haven't been sold on these shores for years, such as the Austin-Healey and MG. There was also a section for British motorcycles.

The 400 block featured "The Best of the Best," a mix of classic cars from around the world as well as a timely tribute to the 50th anniversary of the Cobra. There was a line-up of the cars, a lightweight British AC roadster with a powerful American Ford engine. It was the brainchild of the late Carroll Shelby, who died on May 10 of this year.
